Questions
How many drops of lavender oil go in a diffuser?
For a typical 100 ml ultrasonic diffuser, 3 to 5 drops is a common starting point. Follow your diffuser's manual and add more only if the scent is too faint.
How do I dilute lavender oil for a massage or bath blend?
Mix it into a carrier oil first. A conservative ratio is about 6 drops per 1 fl oz (30 ml) of carrier, roughly a 1% blend. Patch-test a small area before wider use.
How long does lavender essential oil keep?
Shelf life is 3 years. Cap the bottle tightly after each use and keep it somewhere cool and out of direct light so the scent stays true.
Can lavender essential oil be swallowed or used in cooking?
No. It is sold for aromatic and external use only, so keep it out of food and drinks.
