Description
Aroma
Sharp, zesty and clean, like freshly grated lemon zest.
Ways to use
- Diffuse in the kitchen to freshen the air after cooking.
- Brighten a homemade glass or countertop spray with a few drops.
- Pair with rosemary, peppermint or eucalyptus in the diffuser for a crisp, green-citrus mix.
- Add it late when making candles or melt-and-pour soap, since light citrus notes fade quickly.

Questions
How many drops of lemon oil should I put in my diffuser?
About 4 or 5 drops per 100 ml of water is a good place to start. Citrus scents are light, so adjust to taste.
Can I use lemon oil on skin before going outside?
Cold-pressed lemon oil can make skin more sensitive to sunlight. If you use it in a diluted skin blend, keep that area out of the sun and tanning beds for 12 hours.
Is this the same as lemon extract for baking?
No. This is an essential oil for aromatic and external use, not a food ingredient. For baking, use a food flavoring extract.
What is the shelf life of lemon essential oil?
Shelf life is 3 years. Keep it tightly capped in a cool spot away from light; citrus oils keep best that way.
